The 3D objects created from those interactions would be difficult to
create using "traditional" modeling techniques. For most of the
operations, you need at least two objects, which you have to select by
name. As a reminder, you can easily set unique names for objects with
the F2 key.
One of the most typical uses of the Boolean Modifier is to open round
holes in 3D objects. For that task, you need an object to modify and a
cylinder. Place the cylinder at the same location where you want to open
the hole (Figure 4.25).
